WightCUBE is a separate enterprise founded 18 months ago by Lincoln Miles and Nick Callaghan. WightCUBE is a cleverly up-cycled, Second Life Structure. Once the Shipping Container leaves the Port, to us it is no longer a Shipping Container but an amazing spatial volume that wants to be something. The CUBE wants be free and group with another CUBE to find a new expression and form. WightCUBE is a pre-finished solution for a design and cost conscious market emerging in the UK and the first of it’s kind in the IOW tailored for various applications across a broad spectrum of sectors. One off Grand Designs houses, A Beach Hut, off the shelf mini retail stores, Hotel pod, hospitality spaces, pop-up bars, pop-up clinics, meeting rooms, classroom, Music Studio. All of which are designed and specified to each client’s unique brief. WightCUBE Builds out the given design of each project in a secure and dry location. It arranges the Container together as the built entity allowing access to the all sides including the underside and the roof. It installs all the build systems such as membranes and insulation together with all M&E installations and final finishes. When completed the Containers are systematic decoupled and delivered to site in a programme order and erected on site. Final commissioning takes place. WightCUBE sticks to what it is good at. It is not a Builder but rather a fabrication engineering team. It has great links with Shipping Container suppliers, Ground Work teams and Structural engineering together with Logistic transport and Crane operatives. WightCUBE’s first project summer 2016. We will keep you updated.
